On November 21, 2000, the Brevard County School Board voted to deny the application for a charter of the Brevard Preparatory Academy Junior/Senior High School. This appeal is brought to the State Board of Education pursuant to Chapter 228.056, Florida Statutes, which includes provisions governing the appeal process for charter school applicants. On November 7, 2000, the Polk County School Board voted to deny the application for a conversion charter of the Berkley Elementary School. This appeal is brought to the State Board of Education pursuant to Chapter 228.056, Florida Statutes, which includes provisions governing the appeal process for charter school applicants.
