1. Approval of minutes of the meeting held October 24, 1995.
2. Consideration of a December 31, 1995 report on the status of the "Save Our Everglades" Program.
This report is a summary of the activities and accomplishments from September 1 to December 31, 1995, and anticipated near-future activities. Highlights of this quarterly report include:
Acquisition of 5,538 acres of land in the Everglades ecosystem area to state, regional and federal agencies.
Publication of a report by the Governor's Commission on a Sustainable South Florida. The report includes 110 recommendations and 346 action steps aimed at restoring the Everglades ecosystem and revitalizing and sustaining South Florida's economies and communities.
Initiation of the Lake Kissimmee drawdown.
Placement on the 1996 CARL list of the 45,000 acre Kissimmee Prairie tract owned by the Latt Maxcy Corporation.
Initiation in November of "Test 7" of the Modified Project of Water Deliveries to Everglades National Park.
The birth of two litters with three Florida panther kittens in the Big Cypress Addition and Southern Golden Gate Estates.
