Eliminates projected deficits in department AIDS treatment programs,
medical price level increases (i.e., drug prescriptions, medical supplies, ancillary services such
as EKG testing, clinical pathology), correctional officer salary incentive payments, inmate discharge
and travel payments; and for sewage and water treatment impact fees to accommodate increased inmate capacity
at DeSoto and Martin Correctional Institutions.
8. FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT. Request approval of transfer of $465,000 in General Revenue appropriations as follows:

Provides for a shortfall due to unfunded trust authority and a deficit in protective services. The problem has been addressed by the Legislature for the next fiscal year.

Provides for the planning phase of a model program for the delivery of long-term care services in Florida.
Funding is provided through a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson
Foundation and matched with funds from the federal Medicaid program. This is a joint project by
the Department of Elder Affairs and the Agency for Health Care Administration. This is a reapproval of
a FY 1995-96 action.
12. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND REHABILITATIVE SERVICES. Request approval of transfer of $18,011,408 in General Revenue appropriations as follows:

Realigns funds for accounting and financial statement purposes
to properly reflect the expenditure of funds for the Florida System
lawsuit settlement.
13. DEPARTMENT OF BANKING AND FINANCE. Request approval for the
temporary transfer of up to $800,000,000 from trust funds in the
State Treasury to the General Revenue Fund to resolve cash deficiencies
in the General Revenue Fund, pursuant to section 215.18, Florida
Statutes. The Department of Banking and Finance will request and
obtain approval of the Office of Planning and Budgeting and the
Division of Treasury regarding the actual amounts and timing of
the transfers before any transfers are made. Transferred amounts
will be repaid as soon as practical, but not later than June 30,
1997.
14. DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE. Request authority pursuant to section
215.18, Florida Statutes, to temporarily transfer from the trust
funds in the State Treasury up to $154,000,000 to the County Revenue
Sharing Trust Fund and up to $27,000,000 to the Municipal Revenue
Sharing Trust Fund provided that the amounts transferred shall
be repaid as soon as practical but no later than June 30, 1997.
