5. Request approval to enter into a contract with Zurqui Construction, Inc., for construction services to renovate the Opa Locka Driver License Office. The renovations are required by the department in order to provide a more efficient layout for services provided to the public. The contract amount is $51,980.

6. Request approval to enter into a contract with Landy Jacobs and Associates, Inc., for the development and validation study of Florida Highway Patrol entry-level examinations, training, furnishing of test documents, and scoring of tests for one year at a cost of $66,975.

7. Request approval to purchase computer hardware, software, and related services for the Division of Driver Licenses from Digital Equipment Corporation and application conversion services from Compuware Corporation to convert the Florida Driver License Information System (FDLIS). Total cost for the five year period will be $10,964,173.

8. Request authority to renew emissions control contracts for two one-year periods. Currently, all contracts expire March 31, 1998 except Zone 4, Broward County, which expires April 30, 1998.
