AGENDA

1. Approval of the Minutes for the January 28, 1997, Cabinet meeting.

2. Request approval to purchase consulting services for the re-engineering of the

Division of Motor Vehicles' vehicle title process. Improvements to the process

were recommended by the Florida Legislature's Office of Program Policy

Analysis and Government Accountability in 1996.

The Department solicited informal proposals from three state contract vendors:

Coopers & Lybrand, Deloitte & Touche, and KPMG Peat Marwick. KPMG Peat

Marwick's proposal received the most points, had the lowest cost, and offered the

greatest minority business participation.

Total cost for the project is $99,955.

Recommend Approval.

3. Report of the Executive Director as directed by the Governor and Cabinet

February 11, 1997.
