ITEM 3. Request approval in concept of two additional Child Support Enforcement proposals to be submitted to the 1998 Legislature.

RECOMMEND APPROVAL
ITEM 4. Request approval of and authority to enter into contracts with Lockhead Martin IMS and Maximus, Inc. to provide child support enforcement services for a backlog of public assistance cases.
(Attachment 4)
The contracts are for a two-year period beginning
on December 1, 1997, or on the date on which the contracts are
signed by both parties, and end on November 30, 1999. The Department
reserves the right to renew for up to two additional one year
periods. The vendors will provide complete child support enforcement
services to approximately 230,000 backlogged public assistance
cases.
