the Auditor General’s Office to the Department of Law Enforcement
pursuant to Senate Bill 2426, effective October 1, 1999.

DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT SERVICES. Request approval of proposed
amendments to Chapter 60K-9, Florida Administrative Code, Disciplinary
Actions, Grievances and Appeals.
The proposed rule amendments are made within the authority of Section
110.227(2), Florida Statutes, which requires the Department of Mangement
Services to adopt rules pertaining to demotion of employees in the
Career Service. The rule amendment removes the restriction on appeals
to the Public Employees
Relations Commission (PERC) by employees with Career Service status
who have been demoted.
