RECOMMEND APPROVAL

ITEM 3. Request permission to submit the Department of Revenue=s 2000-2001 Legislative Budget Request to the Executive Office of the Governor and Legislature.

This request again focuses on continuation issues which are necessary to carry out its responsibilities. For the continuation and highest priority issues, it represents a 4.3% increase in operating budget funding over the 1999-2000 appropriation. Overall, it represents an increase in operating budget funding of 10.1% and 15 positions, equating to a requested increase in positions of less than 0.3%.

RECOMMEND APPROVAL

ITEM 4. Request permission to submit the Department of Revenue=s Agency Capital Improvement Program to the Executive Office of the Governor and Legislature.

This program is designed to identify the space needs of the Department over the next five years. These needs are based upon a projected increased workload.
